IDFC FIRST Bank has reported a net profit of ₹339 crore for Q3 FY25, reflecting a 53% decline compared to the same period last year, although it saw a sequential increase of 69% from ₹201 crore in Q2 FY25. The core operating profit rose 15% year-on-year to ₹1,736 crore, supported by a 14% increase in net interest income, which reached ₹4,902 crore. Customer deposits surged 28.8% year-on-year to ₹2,27,316 crore, with retail deposits growing by 29.6%.
Loans and advances also expanded by 22% year-on-year, totaling ₹2,31,074 crore. The Gross NPA ratio improved to 1.94% from 2.04% a year earlier, while net NPA fell to 0.52%. The bank continues monitoring its microfinance portfolio closely due to industry challenges, while its overall asset quality remains stable. The CASA ratio was reported at 47.7%, indicating strong deposit growth. The outlook remains cautiously optimistic given the bank's robust growth in retail and corporate lending, but investors should monitor developments in the microfinance sector.
