Central Depository Services (India) Limited (CDSL) has released its financial results for the quarter and nine months ended December 31, 2024. The company reported a total income of ₹235 crore for Q3 FY25, up from ₹186 crore in Q3 FY24, and ₹780 crore for the nine months, compared to ₹538 crore in the previous year. Net profit increased to ₹105 crore for Q3 FY25, from ₹86 crore in Q3 FY24, with a nine-month net profit of ₹381 crore versus ₹266 crore in the prior year.
During this period, CDSL achieved a significant milestone by surpassing 14.65 crore demat accounts, marking it as the first depository to do so. The company also opened approximately 92 lakh new demat accounts in Q3 FY25.
CDSL received recognition as the ‘Market Infrastructure of the Year’ at the 7th Regulation Asia Awards for Excellence 2024, highlighting its commitment to enhancing the ease of doing business in Indian capital markets. The outlook remains positive, given the strong account growth and operational achievements.
