NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (NTPC REL) has secured a 300MW solar project through the NHPC Limited's recent e-reverse auction for a total of 1200 MW of solar power developments. The awarded capacity comes with a tariff of ₹3.09/kWh and includes an Energy Storage System (ESS) of 150MW/300MWh, enhancing solar generation's efficiency and reliability. The completion of the auction took place on January 23, 2025, and NTPC REL is now in the process of receiving the Letter of Award (LOA) from NHPC.
