Profit before tax for Bharat Petroleum Corporation stood at ₹6,176 Cr in Q3 2024-25, marking a year-on-year increase from ₹4,580 Cr. Profit after tax also saw growth, reaching ₹4,649 Cr compared to ₹3,397 Cr in the same period last year. Forex fluctuations and crude liabilities resulted in a loss of ₹273 Cr and ₹261 Cr, respectively. Despite challenges, the company managed to record a marketing inventory loss of ₹722 Cr during this quarter.

The refining sector saw a throughput of 9.54 MMT with the distillate yield remaining steady at 84.86%. Marketing performance remains robust, with total domestic sales reaching 13.43 MMT, compared to 12.92 MMT last year, underscoring a positive demand trend. The company's debt position increased to ₹19,622 Cr from ₹16,017 Cr year-on-year, indicating a need to watch closely as the firm balances growth with financial obligations. Overall, the outlook appears positive with strong operational performance, positioning the company favorably for future growth.
