Tata Technologies has concluded the second edition of its InnoVent hackathon, focusing on Generative AI in collaboration with Microsoft and Tata Motors. This initiative, launched in June 2024, engaged over 9,389 engineering students from 267 colleges, resulting in 2,516 unique projects. The finale, held at Tata Technologies' Hinjewadi campus, saw cash prizes totaling ₹4.5 crore awarded to the top three teams, with career opportunities offered to all 39 finalists.

During the program, more than 1,100 hours of mentoring and training on Generative AI were provided to aid participants in translating their ideas into viable solutions. The top prize of ₹3 lakh was awarded to CodeZephyr from Chandigarh University for their sustainable material integration project. Other notable winners included Spaingit Coder and Pluto, recognized for their AI-driven innovations in automotive safety and customer support, respectively.

Tata Technologies’ CEO, Warren Harris, highlighted the collaboration's aim to address real-world challenges through innovative solutions, reinforcing their commitment to fostering a culture of innovation among future engineers, ensuring a positive outlook for both the company and its new talent.
