Club Mahindra has received recognition from the Indian Green Building Council (IGBC) for achieving Platinum Certification for 14 of its resorts, highlighting the company's commitment to sustainability. This achievement raises the total count of certified resorts to 29. The Platinum Certification underscores excellence in energy efficiency, water conservation, waste management, and sustainable materials, reflecting the brand’s goal of carbon neutrality by 2040.
The certified resorts are spread across popular locations, including Gujarat, Rajasthan, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Goa, Kerala, and Maharashtra. Key sustainability initiatives implemented include sewage treatment plants, rainwater harvesting systems, and comprehensive waste management systems. Furthermore, Mahindra Holidays is focused on promoting local biodiversity and integrating eco-friendly practices throughout its operations.
With 60% of its resorts now certified, the company aims to achieve certifications for all resorts in the next two years, reinforcing its leadership position in eco-friendly hospitality. These efforts not only enhance guest experiences but also contribute positively to environmental sustainability, setting a benchmark for the hospitality industry.
