Neuland Laboratories Limited — Important, 21-01-2025: Capacity addition

Neuland Laboratories has made a significant move to enhance its production capabilities with the approval of capital expenditures totaling ₹342 crores (Cr). The company plans to upgrade its Unit 1 in Telangana, increasing peptide synthesizer capacity from 0.5 KL to 6.37 KL by FY27, backed by an investment of ₹254 Cr funded through borrowings and internal accruals. This new peptide manufacturing block aims to support both Contract Manufacturing Services (CMS) and Generic Development Services (GDS) businesses.

Additionally, an investment of ₹88 Cr has been approved for Unit 3, where capacity will expand by 52 KL, expected to launch in 15 to 18 months. These strategic investments are poised to not only meet the growing demand from customers but also align with Neuland Labs' long-term growth objectives, marking a proactive step in capitalizing on emerging opportunities in the peptide market.
