A recent study by Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) reveals that 64% of consumers are likely to consider electric vehicles (EVs) for their next purchase, highlighting a significant potential shift in the automotive market towards sustainable mobility. The TCS Future-Ready eMobility Study 2025 notes that while 60% of consumers view charging infrastructure as a major challenge, 56% are willing to invest up to $40,000 in an EV.

The study indicates positive sentiments among commercial fleets, with 53% citing lower operational costs as a key motivation for adopting EVs. However, challenges persist, particularly in charging infrastructure and advancing battery technologies, seen as vital for enhancing vehicle performance and design. A substantial 90% of manufacturers believe improvements in battery technology will impact the EV market favorably.

Overall, the insights from this study underscore a positive outlook for the EV sector, suggesting robust opportunities for stakeholders poised to navigate the evolving landscape of electric mobility. Investors should watch closely as TCS continues to drive innovation in this transformative industry.
