HPCL LNG Limited has successfully commissioned its LNG Regasification Terminal at Chhara, Gujarat, with a capacity of 5 MMTPA. The initial LNG cargo from the ship Maran Gas Coronis was successfully discharged into the terminal's storage facilities. This project required an investment of approximately ₹4,750 Crores and includes extensive facilities for LNG receipt, storage, regasification, and supply to the gas grid.
The terminal will operate on a tolling model, allowing third-party access through long-term contracts or spot cargo agreements.
