NTPC Limited — Important, 10-01-2025: Updates

NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (NTPC REL) has declared the commercial operation of two significant solar projects. The second part capacity of 60 MW from the 320 MW Bhainsara Solar PV Project in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan, commenced operation on January 7, 2025. This follows the earlier declaration of the first part capacity of 160 MW on August 28, 2024. Additionally, the second part capacity of 50 MW from the 220 MW Shajapur Solar Project (Unit-II) in Madhya Pradesh started operations on January 10, 2025, with the first part capacity of 50 MW previously declared on September 30, 2024. This expansion boosts NTPC's total installed capacity to 76,708.18 MW, reflecting the company’s ongoing commitment to renewable energy growth and sustainability.
