Consolidated sales for December 2024 showcase a mixed performance across product categories.

Stainless steel sales surged by 59% YoY, reaching 7,889 MT, albeit with a 6% dip in average realization, which now stands at ₹1,22,681 per MT. The quarterly sales saw a slight decrease of 2% in volumes compared to Q2 FY25. In the aluminium foil segment, a strong 32% increase in volumes YoY (1,920 MT) coincided with an 11% rise in realizations, reaching ₹3,56,235 per MT. The carbon steel segment also saw an 11% YoY increase in sales, totaling 1,58,333 MT, with a small decline in realizations.

In contrast, sponge iron volumes dropped by 31% YoY to 74,305 MT, while realizing ₹24,410 per MT. Pig iron sales skyrocketed by 772% MoM, albeit with decreasing realizations. Pellet sales saw a 42% YoY rise in volumes, yet average realizations dropped by 5%. Overall, while December's sales figures reflect robust volume growth for some products, certain segments experienced pricing pressures, indicating the need for investors to watch closely for market dynamics that may affect future profitability.
