Airtel is enhancing its network coverage in Prayagraj in anticipation of the Maha Kumbh, where millions of pilgrims will gather. The company has installed 287 new sites, optimized over 340 existing ones, and added 74 kilometers of fiber to boost mobile connectivity. Within the Kumbh mela area, 78 active cell on wheels (COW) will ensure uninterrupted service across major sites, including highways, railway stations, and hotels.

To address emergencies swiftly, Airtel has set up three war rooms in strategic locations and formed a disaster management team equipped with generators and essential resources. In collaboration with the Prayagraj Traffic Police, over 780 kiosks will be positioned at entry and exit points, displaying crucial safety information to aid in crowd management.
