NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (NTPC REL), a subsidiary of NTPC Green Energy Limited, has emerged successful in an e-reverse auction conducted by Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (UPPCL) for the establishment of solar power projects. NTPC REL secured a capacity of 1000 MW at a competitive tariff of ₹2.56/kWh as part of a larger tender aimed at developing 2000 MW of ISTS-connected Solar PV Power Projects in India. The Letter of Award (LOA) from UPPCL is pending.
