Bharti Airtel has entered into an agreement to acquire a 26% stake in AMP Energy Green Three Private Limited for a total cash consideration of ₹37.89 crore. This acquisition is strategic, allowing Airtel to comply with regulatory requirements for captive power plants while securing cost-effective renewable energy. AMP Energy Green Three is a special purpose vehicle established to develop and operate a 50 MW hybrid wind-solar power plant in Rajasthan, aimed at supplying green power across India. This move enhances Airtel's sustainability profile and operational efficiency in energy consumption.
