Hindustan Zinc Limited — Important, 02-01-2025: Updates

Hindustan Zinc Limited reported strong production figures for the third quarter and nine months ended December 31, 2024. Mined metal production reached a record 784,000 tonnes, benefitting from improved grades and recovery, while refined metal production also hit a record of 783,000 tonnes—3% higher year-on-year—due to better operational efficiency.

In Q3, mined metal production was 265,000 tonnes, up 3% quarter-on-quarter but slightly down (2%) year-on-year. Refined metal production remained stable at 259,000 tonnes, with refined zinc and lead output at 204,000 tonnes and 55,000 tonnes, respectively. Saleable silver production totaled 5.2 million ounces, an 18% decrease from the previous quarter, reflecting lower inputs due to a mining sequence change.

Despite a 14% decline in wind power generation due to lower wind velocities, Hindustan Zinc continues to affirm its market leadership and sustainable practices, maintaining a favorable outlook for investors.
