Tata Motors Limited — Updates, 01-01-2025: Press Release
Tata Motors reported total sales of 2,35,599 vehicles for Q3 FY25, a slight increase from 2,34,981 units in Q3 FY24. The company's Commercial Vehicle (CV) sales declined by 1% year-on-year (YoY), totaling 95,770 units, while Passenger Vehicle (PV) sales saw a 1% rise, reaching 1,39,829 units.
In terms of domestic performance, total sales were slightly up by 1% YoY at 2,30,684 units, with notable trends in various CV segments. The heavy commercial vehicle segment experienced a 9% YoY decline but witnessed improved sequential growth due to higher demand from construction and festive periods. Conversely, the Passenger Carrier segment thrived, achieving a significant 30% YoY sales increase.
Moving forward, the company anticipates improved demand in Q4 FY25, driven by ongoing government infrastructure investments and growth in end-use segments, signaling a positive outlook for Tata Motors within the commercial vehicle space. The PV sector also shows promise, supported by strong SUV sales and planned new product launches.
