Gravita India Limited has started commercial production of Recycled Aluminum Alloys at its new recycling plant in Ghana, operated by its subsidiary, Recyclers Ghana Limited. This phase-I facility has an annual capacity of approximately 4,000 MTPA, with plans to increase this to 8,000 MTPA in the future. The company has invested around ₹6.75 Crores in this initial phase, funded through internal accruals. The Ghana plant will source domestic aluminum scrap for production, catering primarily to the automobile and die casting industries in Europe and Asia. This expansion aligns with Gravita's strategy to enhance its aluminum recycling capabilities globally, further shifting its sales mix towards this segment.
