PTC Industries Limited — Updates, 01-01-2025: Press Release
Aerolloy Technologies, a subsidiary of PTC Industries, has reached a significant milestone by becoming the first Indian private firm to commission a Vacuum Arc Remelting (VAR) furnace, producing aerospace-grade Titanium alloy ingots. This facility boasts an annual melting capacity of 1,500 MT and the ability to create ingots up to 1,000 mm in diameter. With this development, Aerolloy joins a select few global players in Titanium production, primarily located in the U.S., Russia, and Europe.
The VAR process, crucial for high-quality Titanium alloy production, minimizes impurities, ensuring superior performance in aerospace applications. This achievement significantly narrows India's reliance on imports for critical aerospace materials, promoting self-sufficiency in the sector. PTC Industries aims to leverage this capability as part of a broader strategy to integrate material production with precision component manufacturing, addressing the growing global demand for high-quality Titanium alloys.
Overall, this development is expected to enhance PTC's competitive edge in the aerospace and defense sectors, fostering innovation and growth within India's advanced manufacturing landscape.
