Bajaj Auto reported a mixed performance in December 2024 sales. Total sales decreased by 1% year-on-year to 3,23,125 units. Domestic two-wheeler sales fell by 19% to 1,28,335 units, while exports grew by 15% to 1,43,838 units, resulting in a 4% decline in overall two-wheeler sales to 2,72,173 units. Commercial vehicle sales saw a stronger performance with domestic sales up 5% to 34,085 units and exports rising 50% to 16,867 units, leading to a 16% increase in total commercial vehicle sales (50,952 units).

For the year-to-date (April-December), total sales increased by 8% to 35,48,032 units, driven by a 6% rise in domestic two-wheeler sales and a notable 21% boost in commercial vehicle exports. The growth trajectory in exports and commercial vehicles could indicate a positive outlook for the company, while the decline in domestic two-wheeler sales warrants close observation.
