WABAG has secured a significant Design, Build & Operate (DBO) order valued at approximately Euro 78 Million (INR 700 Crore) from Lusaka Water Supply and Sanitation Company for wastewater treatment plants in Zambia. This marks WABAG’s entry into the Zambian market and highlights the company's growing footprint in Africa as a leading water technology provider. Under the contract, WABAG will handle the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) of two advanced wastewater treatment plants with capacities of 54 MLD and 19 MLD, expected to be completed within 36 months, followed by 24 months of operation and maintenance. The project will utilize sustainable energy sources to meet most energy needs, supporting efficient and eco-friendly operations. This win reinforces WABAG's reputation and ability to deliver sophisticated water solutions, enhancing Zambia's sanitation infrastructure and positively impacting the community. A positive outlook is anticipated as WABAG continues to expand its international operations.
