REC Limited — Important, 25-12-2024: General Updates
Rajgarh III Power Transmission Limited has been incorporated as a wholly owned subsidiary of REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited, which is itself a wholly owned subsidiary of REC Limited. The newly formed company, with an authorized and paid-up capital of ₹5 lakh, is focused on the Transmission System for Evacuation of Power from Renewable Energy (RE) Projects in Rajgarh (1500 MW) SEZ in Madhya Pradesh-Phase III.
This initiative follows a recent allocation of a transmission project by the Ministry of Power, where RECPDCL will serve as the Bid Process Coordinator. The company aims to facilitate the selection of a bidder for the forthcoming transmission system and, once the successful bidder is chosen, Rajgarh III Power Transmission Limited will transfer all assets and liabilities to them. Given its establishment, the outlook for this subsidiary is promising, aligning with the broader strategic goals of enhancing power transmission capabilities in India, particularly in the renewable sector. Investors should monitor developments closely as this could signify growth opportunities in the expanding power sector.
