The Reserve Bank of India has approved the transfer of sponsorship for JM Financial Asset Reconstruction Company Limited (JMFARC) from JM Financial Limited to its material subsidiary, JM Financial Credit Solutions Limited (JMFCSL). This strategic move reflects JM Financial's ongoing consolidation within its subsidiaries, enhancing operational efficiencies and aligning its portfolio.
Previously, the Competition Commission of India approved JM Financial's acquisition of up to 42.99% of JMFCSL, elevating its stake significantly. Following this, JM Financial also plans to transfer 71.79% of JMFARC to JMFCSL for approximately Rs. 856 Crore. Once completed, JM Financial’s stake in JMFCSL will increase from 46.68% to about 89.67%, streamlining its control over the subsidiary's operations.
