Acme Solar Holdings Limited — Important, 19-12-2024: Commencement of commercial production/operations
CME Solar Holdings Limited has successfully commissioned an aggregate capacity of 1,023.05 MW across four solar projects in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan, significantly boosting its total operational renewable generation capacity to 2,363 MW. This achievement represents one of the largest single-location projects by a renewable energy firm in India this year. The projects, connected to the ISTS grid, have already started supplying power since October 2024, with an expected annual generation of around 3,000 MUs, resulting in a reduction of greenhouse gas emissions by 2.6 million tonnes.
The commissioning has enhanced the company's portfolio, with 65% of its capacity now linked to central government counterparties. This strategic development in a prime solar irradiation zone demonstrates ACME's commitment to expanding its footprint in Rajasthan, with further projects in the pipeline leveraging existing infrastructure. The ongoing projects financed by PFC and REC, coupled with a favorable PPA at Rs 2.44 per unit, indicate a positive outlook for the company's future growth.
