Glenmark Pharmaceuticals has acquired a 34% stake in O2 Renewable Energy XXIV Private Limited, an SPV focused on solar and renewable energy projects, for an investment of up to ₹1.99 Crores. This strategic move aligns with Glenmark's goal to enhance its renewable energy share and attain carbon neutrality by 2030. O2 Renewable will now operate as an associate of Glenmark, aiding in regulatory compliance as a captive energy user in India. The investment includes ₹17 lakhs in equity shares and ₹158 lakhs in compulsory convertible debentures, potentially strengthening Glenmark's operational sustainability and market position in renewable energy.
