16-12-2024 | 08:55 pm

Total revenue for the half-year ended September 30, 2024, stands at ₹1,961.66 crore, reflecting a growth of approximately 5.9% year-over-year compared to ₹1,853.10 crore for the same period last year. This improvement is attributed to heightened demand, particularly in emerging markets, coupled with strategic operational enhancements.

The company reported a net loss of ₹894.22 crore for the half-year, relative to a loss of ₹32.19 crore in the previous half-year, indicating significant operational challenges. The loss per share (EPS) has been calculated at ₹10.05, a stark decline from ₹0.16 in the prior year. The increase in losses can be linked to inflated raw material costs and expenses associated with capacity expansion, alongside a decrease in operational efficiency.

Operational costs surged dramatically, overwhelming revenue growth with total expenses reaching ₹2,855.88 crore, up from ₹2,260.20 crore, representing an increase of about 26.3%. This spike in costs significantly derived from increased personnel expenses and a rise in the cost of goods sold, showcasing the company's ongoing struggles with cost management.

The balance sheet reflects total assets of ₹4,670.93 crore with shareholders' equity at ₹1,000.00 crore, indicating a challenging solvency position. Cash equivalent stood at ₹7.86 crore as of September 30, 2024, suggesting tight liquidity that may affect operational maneuverability.

Looking ahead, the company appears to be focusing on operational efficiencies and cost control amid ongoing market volatility. Given the current financial trajectory and increasing debt levels, a hold position is advisable as investors monitor the company's ability to manage operational hurdles effectively and stabilize its financial footing.
