Ambuja Cements has commissioned a 200 MW solar power project in Khavda, which will supply green power to 20 cement plants and is part of a larger 1 GW Renewable Power Project. This phase of development is set to unlock 70% savings in power costs, significantly enhancing EBITDA. A total investment of Rs. 10,000 Cr will enable the company to source 60% of its power requirements from renewable sources by FY’28. The remaining 806 MW capacity from this project is expected to be commissioned in phases, with plans for additional capacity in wind and solar by mid-2025. This move reflects the company's commitment to sustainability and maintaining a positive outlook on cost reductions and value delivery to stakeholders, aligning with its goal of achieving Net Zero emissions by 2050.
