Balu Forge Industries Limited is expanding its machining capabilities by introducing 7 Axis CNC Machining technology. Currently, the company has a machining capacity of 32,000 tons, with a 70% utilization rate. While the specific proposed capacity addition is yet to be defined, the expansion is expected to be completed within FY 2025-2026. An initial investment of Rs. 21.04 lakh has been made for the first machine, financed through internal accruals, with additional machinery still to be acquired.
This technological upgrade aims to diversify the company's product offerings in high-precision components across sectors such as aerospace, defense, railways, and oil & gas. The new technology will enhance the machining of complex geometries, improve precision, and increase operational flexibility, ultimately enabling the company to meet higher quality standards and expand its market opportunities. Investors should watch closely for further developments and total investment figures as the expansion progresses.
