Tejas Networks Limited — Updates, 05-12-2024: Press Release
Tejas Networks is now the primary broadband equipment supplier for the BharatNet Last Mile Connectivity project in Tamil Nadu, overseen by TANFINET, a state-backed entity. This initiative aims to provide affordable high-speed connectivity to around 50,000 government institutions, including public health centers and schools, while also enabling Fiber to the Home (FTTH) services for rural households through partnerships with local cable operators and telecom companies. COO Arnob Roy expressed confidence in their modular GPON/XGS-PON products, positioning Tejas as a key technology partner for both domestic and international FTTH rollouts. This project is expected to enhance social and economic well-being for rural citizens, marking a significant growth opportunity for Tejas Networks in the telecommunications sector. Investors should monitor developments closely as this project could reinforce Tejas’s market position.
