Thyrocare Technologies Limited — Important, 03-12-2024: General Updates

Thyrocare Technologies Limited has confirmed an additional equity investment of USD 100,000 (approximately INR 0.85 Cr) in its 50:50 joint venture, Thyrocare Laboratories (Tanzania) Limited. This investment is aimed at bolstering the operational capacity and working capital requirements of the JV, which focuses on providing diagnostic and healthcare services.

The JV commenced operations in April 2024, reporting a turnover of INR 0.10 Cr for the first half of FY25. With this latest tranche, total investments in the JV amount to USD 475,020 (around INR 3.97 Cr). Notably, the Company temporarily holds more than 50% of shares, which will revert to 50:50 once the other partner contributes their equity. The outlook for this venture appears positive, as it expands the Company's footprint in the healthcare sector in Tanzania, aligning with its core business operations.
