Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited has successfully commissioned a 431 MW DC solar project in Neemuch, Madhya Pradesh. This project is notable for its advanced use of single-axis trackers and bi-facial modules, enhancing system efficiency by over 15%. It spans 1,635.63 acres and is recognized as one of the most cost-effective large-scale solar energy bids in India, expected to offset approximately 7,80,300 tonnes of CO₂ annually.
The project supports the energy needs of Western Central Railways and Madhya Pradesh Power Management Company Ltd. With this addition, Tata Power's total renewable energy capacity has now reached 10.9 GW, including 5.4 GW currently operational, of which 4.4 GW is solar energy. This achievement reinforces Tata Power's commitment to sustainability and positions it as a leader in India’s green energy transition.
