GOCL Corporation has decided to cease its detonators and other blasting devices manufacturing operations at its Kukatpally factory due to challenges posed by rapid urbanization and safety regulations following the surrender of leased land. This move is part of consolidating Energetics operations at Rourkela under its subsidiary, IDL Explosives Limited. The company has relocated employees required for Rourkela and arranged compensation for those opting not to relocate. The Energetics division reported a turnover of ₹92.35 crore in the last financial year and ₹22.13 crore for the first half of the current year. Meanwhile, GOCL will continue to focus on growth within its Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) segment.
