The company has committed to reducing Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 25% per metric ton of steel produced by 2030, using 2022 as a baseline. It reported a 12% increase in operational revenue, reaching ₹1,81,188 million, alongside a substantial rise in production volume.
Notably, APL Apollo aims for over 80% of its energy consumption to be sourced from renewables by 2025 and has undertaken projects to implement Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) at all manufacturing units. The company’s initiatives include advanced waste management techniques, highlighted by a 106,015 metric ton recycle rate.
The approach underlines strong corporate governance, with a diverse board and rigorous compliance practices. APL Apollo also advocates for community engagement, contributing over ₹136.3 million to various CSR initiatives, benefitting more than 12,285 individuals.
