Dr. Reddy's Laboratories has launched Toripalimab in India, marking it as the first and only immuno-oncology drug approved for treating nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC). This New Biological Entity is also approved by leading global regulatory authorities, including the USFDA and EMA. The combination of Toripalimab with standard chemotherapy has demonstrated a significant 48% reduction in progression or death risk.
By launching Toripalimab in India the same year as its U.S. debut, the company positions India as the third country globally to access this PD-1 inhibitor. Toripalimab is set to transform the standard treatment protocol for adults with recurrent or metastatic NPC, offering enhanced clinical outcomes. Dr. Reddy’s is optimistic about its oncology portfolio, which aims to address urgent healthcare needs and serves as a cornerstone of its growth strategy, aspiring to benefit over 1.5 billion patients by 2030.
