Granules India Limited has received validation and approval from the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi) for its ambitious climate targets. This places the company among the select Indian pharmaceutical firms with SBTi-validated plans aligned with the 1.5°C pathway, underscoring its commitment to sustainability. Granules aims for net-zero greenhouse gas emissions across its value chain, including all subsidiaries, by FY2050. In the near term, the company targets a 42% reduction in Scope 1, Scope 2, and Scope 3 emissions by FY2030, based on FY2023 levels, alongside a transition to 100% renewable electricity.
