One 97 Communications Limited — Updates, 25-11-2024: Press Release
Paytm has launched an automatic top-up feature for its UPI LITE, allowing users to recharge their balance seamlessly for recurring daily payments under ₹500, without needing to enter a PIN. This enhancement targets small transactions, such as those for groceries and transportation, making everyday payments faster and simpler while helping maintain clutter-free bank statements through on-device wallet processing.
The feature permits payments of up to ₹500 per transaction, with a daily limit of ₹2,000, making it suitable for regular expenses. Additionally, a UPI statement download option enables users to monitor their transactions effectively. Currently available through Yes Bank and Axis Bank for select users, the rollout will expand to all users soon. This strategic move positions Paytm to enhance user experience and foster growth in the daily transactions segment. Paytm partners with major banks like SBI, HDFC, Axis, and Yes Bank to ensure secure transactions while also supporting international UPI payments in select countries.
