EQUIPPPSocialImpactTechnologiesLtd has entered into a tripartite Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Karnataka Innovation and Technology Society (KITS) and the BFSI Consortium to address the skill gap in Karnataka’s Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI) sector. The MOU, signed during the Bengaluru Tech Summit, aims to implement BFSI-focused minor degree programs in engineering and graduate colleges, targeting the skill enhancement of 10,000 students in the initial pilot phase.

The BFSI Consortium will develop a comprehensive curriculum that incorporates domain expertise, technology, and behavioral skills. EQUIPPP will act as the Strategic Impact Partner, ensuring the program's sustainability through the EQUIPPP Skill Portal, which will track student progress and facilitate placements in the BFSI sector. Additionally, EQUIPPP’s asset management arm, DESI, will support the initiative over the next three years via an innovative outcome-based revolving fund, aiming to prevent any financial burden on students or the government. This collaboration highlights EQUIPPP's commitment to social impact and strengthening Karnataka as a hub for financial services and innovation.
