Tata Power has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Asian Development Bank (ADB) focused on securing $4.25 billion in financing for key clean energy projects in India. This partnership, announced during the ongoing Climate Conference at COP29, aims to enhance power infrastructure and support renewable energy initiatives, including a 966 MW Solar Wind Hybrid project and pumped hydro storage solutions. The total project cost is projected at approximately $4.25 billion.

According to CEO Dr. Praveer Sinha, this collaboration is essential for advancing India’s commitment to clean energy and modernizing its power infrastructure, thereby fostering sustainable growth. The MoU reinforces Tata Power's dedication to contributing to India’s renewable energy target of 500 GW by 2030 and promoting inclusiveness, especially by integrating gender and climate actions. This strategic engagement positions Tata Power to strengthen its renewable energy capacity and decrease reliance on fossil fuels, aligning with global climate goals while addressing local energy needs. Investors should monitor this development closely as it could enhance Tata Power’s growth trajectory and market positioning.
