REC Limited — Important, 20-11-2024: General Updates

REC has incorporated two wholly owned subsidiaries: Mahan Transmission Limited and Kurnool-IV Transmission Limited. Each has an authorized and paid-up capital of ₹5,00,000 and will initially not generate revenue as they are newly established.

Mahan Transmission Limited is set to manage a project for the evacuation of 1230 MW power from M/s Mahan Energen Ltd, based on its appointment as Bid Process Coordinator by the Energy Department of the Government of Madhya Pradesh. Kurnool-IV Transmission Limited will oversee the integration of a 4.5 GW transmission project, following a similar appointment by the Ministry of Power.
