Godavari Biorefineries Ltd reported a significant year-on-year revenue growth of 25% in H1 FY25, reaching ₹8,434.8 Cr, compared to ₹6,734.5 Cr in H1 FY24. During this half-year, the EBITDA was ₹(410.1) Cr, reflecting a decline from the previous year, while the profit after tax (PAT) stood at ₹(1,011.0) Cr. The company experienced notable volume growth in sugar and bio-based chemicals, particularly a 102% increase in sugar sales volume to 9,31,950 quintals in H1 FY25.

The CMD, Shri Samir Somaiya, emphasized the company's commitment to building a sustainable business model, aided by proceeds from their recent IPO, which will be largely allocated to debt repayment of ₹240 Cr. This strategic move is expected to strengthen the balance sheet and support future growth in the bio-based chemicals sector. With the government reinstating the Ethanol Blending Program, the company anticipates revenue growth in Q3 FY25, driven by its enhanced capacity. Investors should watch closely, as the seasonal nature of their operations typically results in stronger performance in the second half of the financial year.
