ITI Limited has secured a contract valued at Rs. 95 Cr from the Directorate of Geology & Mining, Government of Uttarakhand, for the implementation of a Mining Digital Transformation & Surveillance System (MDTSS). This initiative aims to enhance the monitoring and prevention of illegal mining and mineral transportation within the state. ITI Limited will oversee the development, execution, and maintenance of the system across various districts, including installation at 40 check gates.
The MDTSS will incorporate advanced technology such as bullet cameras and RFID radars to bolster revenue while addressing illegal mining's ecological and economic repercussions. ITI's Chairman and Managing Director expressed satisfaction in being selected as a technology partner, highlighting the company’s commitment to leveraging its expertise for societal benefits.
In related news, ITI Limited has emerged as the Lowest Bidder for three packages of the BharatNet Phase-3 Project, with a combined value exceeding Rs. 4559 Cr across multiple states, indicating strong growth opportunities for the company moving forward.
