Rulka Electricals LimitedImportant, 16-11-2024: Financial Result Updates

16-11-2024 | 11:11 am

Rulka Electricals Limited reported consolidated financial results for the half-year ended 30th September 2024. The total revenue from operations stood at ₹29.68 crore, marking a significant decline of approximately 13.8% compared to ₹36.42 crore in the previous year. This decrease may be driven by reduced project activity and increased competition in the MEP services sector.

Net profit for the period was ₹9.38 crore, down 74.8% from ₹23.91 crore year-over-year, resulting in an EPS of ₹2.27, a substantial drop from ₹7.08 previously. The decline in profitability can be attributed to rising operational costs, particularly in employee benefits and material consumption, which rose 38.9% and 21.6% respectively when compared to the same period last year. Total expenses for the half year were ₹28.52 crore, up from ₹32.70 crore, reflecting ongoing cost pressures.

On the balance sheet front, total assets increased to ₹55.81 crore from ₹41.10 crore, driven by higher current assets, notably trade receivables and inventories. The current liabilities have also seen growth, indicating rising short-term financial obligations.

The company's strategy appears focused on controlling costs while navigating the challenges presented by market dynamics. Market sentiment may remain cautious given the sharp decline in profitability; however, investor interest could be rekindled if Rulka can effectively manage its costs and regain revenue growth in future quarters.

Based on the current financial performance and strategic outlook, the suggestion leans toward a hold position, given the potential for recovery against the backdrop of market stability and effective operational adjustments.
