SVP GLOBAL TEXTILES LIMITED — Important, 14-11-2024: Financial Result Updates
SVP Global Textiles Limited has announced a board meeting to discuss its financial results for the quarter and half-year ending September 30, 2024.
In the consolidated financial results, total revenue reached ₹1,619.36 crore, reflecting a significant decline compared to ₹7,343.67 crore in the same quarter last year, indicating a revenue decrease of about 78%. This drop may be attributed to operational challenges and increased competition.
The company reported a net loss of ₹6,360.43 crore for the quarter, worsening from a net loss of ₹5,889.33 crore year-over-year. The loss per share (EPS) came in at a negative ₹5.03, which is also a decline compared to the previous year’s EPS of ₹4.66. This reflects ongoing struggles with high operational costs and low sales volumes.
Operational costs surged to ₹7,579.80 crore, a substantial increase driven by heightened costs of materials and other expenditures. These operational difficulties underline issues in cost management and efficiency.
As of September 30, 2024, the balance sheet shows total assets of ₹347,649.77 crore, showing slight deterioration from ₹354,832.21 crore at the end of the prior financial year, indicating financial stress. The company reported a negative equity figure of ₹32,918.11 crore, highlighting significant liabilities.
The outlook remains challenging, with continued risks related to cost management and operational efficiency. Given the current financial situation, it would be prudent for investors to adopt a cautious stance, especially considering future uncertainties tied to recovery efforts in the textile market.
