Revenue from operations for the quarter ending September 30, 2024, stood at ₹2,571.06 crore, representing a 21.58% decline from ₹3,879.27 crore in the same quarter last year. The total income also decreased to ₹2,660.24 crore, down from ₹3,897.36 crore year-on-year. This dip in revenue could be attributed to increased competition in the textile industry and potential disruptions in supply chains.

The company reported a net loss of ₹102.39 crore for the quarter, compared to a loss of ₹94.90 crore in the previous year, partially impacted by higher material costs and operational challenges. EPS for the period is calculated at ₹(0.72), contrasting with ₹(0.68) from the prior year.

Operational costs increased, particularly in the cost of materials consumed, which rose to ₹2,023.01 crore, reflecting a 22.18% rise from ₹1,543.36 crore in the previous quarter. This suggests ongoing pressure on margins, necessitating a deeper evaluation of cost management and procurement strategies.

On the balance sheet, total assets increased to ₹3,777.29 crore from ₹3,298.37 crore as of March 2024, signaling improved asset utilization, though liabilities have also grown, indicating increased leverage.

The strategic focus should be on improving cost efficiency and exploring avenues for revenue enhancement, particularly in export markets amid expected seasonal demand growth. Current market sentiment may suggest a cautious approach to investment; therefore, maintaining a hold position could be prudent, given the company's need to stabilize operations before any robust recovery.
