Tarmat LimitedImportant, 14-11-2024: Financial Result Updates

14-11-2024 | 06:03 pm

Consolidated financial results show Tarmat Limited generating total revenue of ₹1,560.31 crores for the quarter ending September 30, 2024, a 0.45% year-over-year decrease from ₹1,560.31 crores in the previous year. This slight decline may reflect increased competitive pressures or sector-specific challenges, though the company still reported a stable demand environment.

Net profit stood at ₹40.82 crores, compared to ₹28.39 crores for the same quarter last year, highlighting a significant year-over-year improvement in profitability, despite the revenue dip. The Earnings Per Share (EPS) on a basic basis is recorded at ₹0.17 for the quarter, improving from ₹0.13 previously, driven by better cost control measures and enhanced operational efficiency.

Operational costs increased, with total expenses rising to ₹1,522.30 crores, largely attributed to an uptick in materials and construction costs. Notably, employee benefit expenses also saw an increase, which may impact future margins if not managed carefully.

Total assets rose to ₹2,144.12 crores, and the company maintained a strong equity position of ₹1,706.56 crores. Cash flow from operating activities remained positive, reflecting solid operational stability. However, cumulative borrowings had also increased slightly, which may affect leverage indices.

Strategically, Tarmat may need to focus on ramping up operational efficiencies and exploring new markets to sustain growth amidst revenue challenges. Given the overall financial resilience and improvement in profit margins, we suggest a hold position for retail investors, keeping a close eye on future performance and market conditions.
