14-11-2024 | 05:58 pm

MPS Infotecnics Limited has announced a board meeting focusing on its financial results for the quarter and half-year.

Consolidated total revenue for the half-year ended September 30, 2024, stands at ₹24.94 crore, reflecting a decline of 21.98% compared to ₹31.67 crore in the corresponding half-year period of the previous year. This revenue drop can be attributed primarily to reduced operational performance and lack of market demand.

The company reported a net loss of ₹160.42 crore for the half-year, compared to a loss of ₹162.88 crore year on year. The diluted earnings per share (EPS) remained at a loss of ₹0.004. Losses were impacted by high operational costs, which totaled ₹214.24 crore, with employee benefits expenses and other operating costs contributing heavily. Notably, depreciation and amortization expenses accounted for ₹130.79 crore, indicating fixed asset strain relative to revenue generation.

Operational costs have increased marginally by 1.11% from the previous year, reflecting ongoing challenges in cost management and operational efficiency.

The balance sheet indicates total assets of ₹48,322.68 crore, with total equity recorded at ₹42,968.87 crore. Current liabilities amount to ₹5,161.52 crore, suggesting some liquidity pressure, exacerbated by pending fees and potential penalties resulting from non-compliance with regulatory requirements.

Strategically, MPS Infotecnics appears to focus on internal cost control and addressing compliance challenges to improve financial health. However, market sentiment remains cautious due to continued losses and outstanding regulatory issues affecting operations.

Given the ongoing operational challenges and market conditions, a cautious stance is warranted—consider holding the stock until clearer improvement signals manifest.
