For the quarter ended September 30, 2024, Shriram Properties Limited reported consolidated revenue of ₹15,510 crore, a 32.5% decrease from ₹23,124 crore year-over-year. This decline is attributed mainly to reduced revenue from operations, which fell from ₹20,608 crore to ₹14,056 crore. Key factors influencing the decrease may include market conditions and ongoing project developments.

The company registered a loss before tax of ₹1,618 crore compared to a profit of ₹2,581 crore during the same period last year. After accounting for taxes, the net loss for the quarter is ₹79 crore, a significant shift from a profit of ₹2,016 crore in the previous year. The diluted loss per share stands at ₹0.05.

Total expenses decreased moderately to ₹17,151 crore from ₹19,459 crore year-on-year. The company faced increased finance costs amounting to ₹2,697 crore, reflecting higher debt levels. Additionally, operational efficiencies and effective cost management will be crucial as the company navigates through the current challenges.

The balance sheet shows total assets of ₹385,195 crore, an increase from ₹377,531 crore as of March 31, 2024. Cash and cash equivalents decreased to ₹10,175 crore from ₹17,875 crore, indicating tighter liquidity.

In light of recent financial trends, maintaining strategic focus on cost control and efficient capital deployment will be essential. Investors may consider a cautious approach amidst current losses and market conditions, leaning towards a hold perspective as the company works through operational challenges.
