Global Vectra Helicorp Limited — Important, 14-11-2024: Financial Result Updates
GlobalVectra Helicorp Limited reported its financial results for the quarter and half-year ended September 30, 2024.
Total revenue from operations reached ₹12,430 crore, reflecting a growth of 18.5% compared to ₹10,487 crore in the same quarter last year, driven by increased demand and market expansion. However, other income saw a decline to ₹851 crore from ₹882 crore in the year-ago quarter, leading to total income of ₹13,281 crore.
The company incurred a net loss of ₹415 crore, a slight improvement from a loss of ₹682 crore the previous year, with an EPS of (₹2.97) compared to (₹4.87) in Q2 FY23. Factors contributing to the losses included increased operational costs, specifically a 25.2% rise in helicopter maintenance expenses and employee benefits, which together totaled over ₹7,557 crore.
Total expenses for the quarter amounted to ₹13,767 crore, resulting in a loss before tax of ₹487 crore. The company continues to face challenges in cost management, particularly in maintenance and lease expenses.
The balance sheet indicates a solid equity base with total equity at ₹1,401 crore, and total liabilities are approximately ₹85,570 crore. Cash flows from operating activities stood at ₹4,920 crore, showing the company’s capability to generate cash despite ongoing losses.
Investor sentiment may remain cautious due to continuing losses, but opportunities for future profitability could arise from improved cost management strategies. Given the current challenges, a hold position is advised for investors while monitoring operational efficiencies and market conditions.
