HCL Infosystems LimitedUpdates, 14-11-2024: Press Release

14-11-2024 | 04:05 pm

HCL Infosystems has reported revenue of ₹6.79 Cr for the second quarter of FY25, showing a decline from ₹7.47 Cr in the previous quarter. The loss before tax stood at ₹7.84 Cr. The decrease in revenue is primarily attributed to the completion of Facility Management Services under the Jh-RAPDRP project, with expectations for continued contraction in revenue moving forward. Additionally, legal expenses related to ongoing arbitrations have contributed to the increased loss.

The company is facing significant challenges in timely customer acceptances and project sign-offs, leading to considerable payment delays and impacting financial stability. In response, HCL has initiated arbitration proceedings against several customers to recover outstanding dues, though the process is complex and costly. A favorable arbitration award of ₹9.36 Cr was received during the quarter, although the customer has the right to appeal.

The ongoing focus on legal matters may limit business opportunities in the near term. Mr. Pawan Kumar Danwar has been re-appointed as a Non-Independent and Non-Executive Director, reflecting a continuation of the current governance structure. Investors should closely monitor the arbitration outcomes and recovery of receivables, amid operational challenges.
