West Coast Paper Mills Ltd. reported a decline in financial performance for the quarter ended September 30, 2024. Consolidated revenue increased by 9% to ₹1,044.82 Cr compared to the previous quarter, but the standalone revenue fell by 5% to ₹609.36 Cr. EBITDA decreased by 10% to ₹196.38 Cr on a consolidated basis, and by 9% to ₹143.05 Cr for standalone results. Profit After Tax (PAT) showed a 17% drop to ₹100.56 Cr for the consolidated results, while standalone PAT slightly declined to ₹91.98 Cr, down 1%.

Chairman S.K. Bangur noted the challenges faced due to persistent high wood costs and increasing imports of lower-priced writing and printing paper, affecting revenue realization and overall profitability. The company may need to navigate these pressures carefully to maintain market competitiveness. Investors should keep a close watch on how these cost factors influence future performance and strategic decisions.
