The Board of Directors of Agro Tech Foods Limited has approved several significant changes during their recent meeting. The company plans to change its name to "Sundrop Brands Limited," pending shareholder and regulatory approvals. Additionally, there is a proposal to increase the authorized share capital from ₹35 crore to ₹50 crore.

A pivotal decision includes the acquisition of Del Monte Foods Private Limited (DMFPL), where Agro Tech aims to acquire 100% of DMFPL's equity shares, with a consideration of ₹1,300.11 crore through preferential allotment of shares. This acquisition is in line with Agro Tech’s strategy to diversify its processed food offerings and is expected to enhance market positioning.

Moreover, the Board has appointed Mr. Nitish Bajaj as the Group Managing Director and Dr. Om Prakash Manchanda as a Non-Executive Independent Director, both subject to shareholder approval. Mr. Asheesh Kumar Sharma will step down as Managing Director but remain Executive Director & CEO for specific segments. This restructuring indicates a significant strategic shift for the company, marking a potentially positive outlook for future growth.
